While You Wait, Quick Tips

  • For your sharpener: very blunt knives start in the coarse slot, then finish in the fine slot. Slightly dull knives only need the fine slot.
  • Pull the knife through in ONE direction only, from the base to the tip, 3 to 5 times. Never saw it back and forth inside the slot.
  • For your board: lift the sides to wash food inside it, and open the drain plug over the sink to let the water out.
  • Dry the board fully before folding it flat, and keep your knife blades dry after washing. Dry blades never rust.
